An avid equestrian from a young age, Sammie Jo has always had a love for horses of all shapes and sizes from all backgrounds and riding disciplines. Her extensive experience in the equine industry along with the care she provides for her own horses led to the pursuit of proper saddle fitting and how it can play a key role in our equine endeavors.

Sammie Jo is a certified English saddle fitter. She received her certification through The Saddle Fit Academy, an intensive training program with an emphasis on English saddles. The curriculum blended theoretical and practical knowledge with hands on practice covering topics including horse and rider anatomy, biomechanics, saddle construction and flocking.

She also has had the amazing opportunity to work and ride for Spy Coast Farm’s state of the art rehab division in Lexington, Kentucky. During this time she was trusted with some of the industries top horses and played a role in assisting in their recovery from a variety of injuries as well as strengthening and proper fitness. In addition, she is familiar and well-versed in working with many English saddle brands as an independent fitter. This allows for a broad range of options or customization in consideration of both the horse and rider and their individual and unique qualities without being tied to a specific brand.
